Routines for hair growth and dandruff prevention

We believe that everyone deserves beautiful hair, and beautiful hair begins with thoughtful scalp care. One of Nurme’s TOP products — rosemary shampoo — has grown into a complete whole-body care range.

As a result of customer feedback and long-term development work, a completely new range was born, which started from that very same rosemary shampoo.

In addition to the expanded selection of hair care products, the range now also includes body care products.

Routines

While the focus so far has been on supporting hair growth, it has now expanded to dandruff prevention as well.

Routines have been created to make the most of the expanded product range.

Routine for supporting hair growth

A well-cared-for and balanced scalp is the prerequisite for healthy hair growth.

In addition to regular hair care, we recommend doing an intensive treatment 1–2 times a week, focusing specifically on the scalp.

For this we recommend using rosemary scalp oil. The rich blend of oils helps moisturise the scalp and creates favourable conditions for hair growth. Apply the scalp oil for 20–30 minutes and let it work. If you wish, you can also leave the product on the scalp overnight.

Then wash the scalp thoroughly with rosemary shampoo and moisturise the hair with rosemary conditioner. The rosemary oil and extract they contain support the growth of healthy hair from roots to ends.

After washing, spray tonic onto the damp scalp, holding the applicator against the scalp. Massage in gently and do not rinse. One of the tonic’s key ingredients, hyaluronic acid, binds moisture to maintain the scalp’s natural moisture balance. The product is intended for use on the scalp only. There is no need to apply it along the whole length of the hair.

Anti-dandruff care routine

The scalp needs intensive moisturising

A dry, tight and flaky scalp is a reflection of internal processes in the body. Drinking enough water and a healthy diet are of key importance in the fight against dandruff. It is important that in such cases we use products suited to the scalp that do not aggravate an already difficult situation.

We have developed a routine that makes it possible to moisturise and care for the scalp in a way that supports the fight against dandruff as much as possible.

First, apply rosemary scalp oil for 20–30 minutes and let it work. It moisturises the scalp and helps relieve dryness and itching. If you wish, you can also leave the product on the scalp overnight.

Then wash the scalp with anti-dandruff rosemary shampoo and moisturise the hair with rosemary conditioner. The allantoin and lavender oil they contain can help reduce scalp itching and discomfort.

One of the tonic’s key ingredients, hyaluronic acid, binds moisture to maintain the scalp’s natural moisture balance. The product is intended for use on the scalp only. From head to toe with the rosemary range

When creating the rosemary range, we thought holistically. Our wish was to create a range that meets our needs from head to toe.

For basic hair care we recommend using rosemary shampoo and rosemary conditioner.

The completeness of the range is ensured by the new refreshing rosemary hand and body wash gel.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between dandruff and psoriasis?

Dandruff is a common scalp condition — white flakes often caused by dryness or yeast. Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition with thicker, red, scaly patches that often needs medical advice. Nurme products (DermAid, PsoriAid range) are made for gentle, natural scalp care and soothing — for severe symptoms, please see a dermatologist.

Why is my scalp itchy?

The most common causes are dryness, dandruff, excess oil, or irritation from harsh detergents. A gentle, natural, peat-rich shampoo helps restore the scalp's natural balance.

How do peat-rich products help the scalp?

Bog peat (Sphagnum) is naturally slightly acidic and rich in antioxidants — it helps soothe an irritated scalp and support a healthier balance, without harsh chemicals.

How often can I use anti-dandruff shampoo?

Nurme's natural anti-dandruff shampoos can be used regularly — around 2–3 times a week or as needed. They are gentle and sulfate-free.

Are these products suitable for a sensitive scalp?

Yes. Nurme scalp products are natural, vegan and free from harsh detergents — made for sensitive, easily irritated scalps too.
